Celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day on February 17th!
Posted by Enchanted Florist Pasadena on 25th Jan 2016
Have you decided how you're going to celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day on February 17th? Your participation can be anything from paying for a stranger's meal or coffee to just leaving a note complimenting someone on how clean their car is, holding a door open for someone, or a simple smile and cheerful greeting to everyone you see.
If you love flowers, why not celebrate by sharing the gift of flowers with someone who isn't expecting them?
Take single wrapped flowers to a nursing home and pass them out to the loneliest residents (and staff members you catch in an act of kindness!). There were probably lots of carolers and visitors during the holidays, but not nearly as many since. Random Acts of Kindness Day is a perfect opportunity to brighten everyone's day. Explain to each recipient the reason behind their surprise gift and encourage them to share their joy.
Another way of spreading the joy of flowers is by giving someone an armful of single wrapped flowers; ask them to keep one and pass the others on to someone else with the same instructions - keep one and pass the rest on.
You could also take that same armful of flowers and use a pretty ribbon to tie a short note to each one - perhaps something like "It's Random Acts of Kindness Day - pass it on!' Then leave a single flower at random places around town; bus stops, subway seats, and mailboxes come to mind.
No matter how you choose to celebrate this special day, the important thing is to do something. Just think what a cheerful day this can be if everyone participates! And there's no reason to limit yourself to the 17th of February, either. How about giving flowers to someone different on the 17th of every month? That way you can spread the joy of this special day throughout the year and brighten a day for twelve different people! Contact us to order your flowers now so that you'll be prepared to commit random acts of kindness on the 17th!
